Motion Trails began as an exploration of how a single illuminated form could suggest movement, depth and changing structure through repetition. The animation moves between linear, curved and clustered arrangements, with each trail revealing the direction and timing of the motion.

Created entirely in After Effects, the piece combines shape animation, temporal repetition, glow, colour separation and grain. The focus was on building smooth transitions between each formation while maintaining a continuous, cohesive loop.
